my photos are disappearing!
something wonky’s going on with this blog… I will try to get this fixed as soon as possible. I may have used links that weren’t static (grumble). I appreciate your patience!
Bostonian sweater weather.
While in Boston for a cognitive psychology conference, I managed to fall in love with the city:

Fire Hall @ 941 Boylston St. (1887)

We went to see Metric at the House of Blues (right across from Fenway Park). I’m officially in love with Emily Haines!

tis the season… for cupcakes!
I must confess the premature playing of Christmas songs ruffles my feathers the wrong way.

dark horse.
Newly opened espresso bar in Toronto, Dark Horse is favoured by a few of my coffee-loving friends. My usual at a new cafe is always a double short – it provides a solid baseline for comparision. But what a lovely space! I could have stayed ’till the cows came home.

I’m dusting off my lens, poised for action. Be warned.
paused.
I’m off to northern Quebec for a summer stint of treeplanting, coming back at the end of August a richer woman. The camera’s not coming with me: dirt / things being tossed around in a not-so-gentle manner / potential theft / etc. Until then, have a most wonderful summer!
rooftoppe.
Rooftop and boiler room adventures with friends. Gentlemen, thank you for your visit.
